Why Your Ideology of Feminism is a Shit-load of Crap
Before we start; am I the only one that knows more feminists on social media than in real life? Let me start with the famous feminist quote; we all should be feminist. I do believe that. I mean that is the humanistic thing to do. I mean, who in his right senses would want to dehumanize a loved one?
What is Feminism?
According to Wiki,
“feminism is a range of social movements, political movements, and ideologies that aim to define, establish, and achieve the political, economic, personal, and social equality of the sexes.” This certainly a vague definition, I mean equality in what context? Do you mean equality of outcome or equality of opportunity?
Well, in accordance with IWDA,
“quite simply, feminism is about all genders having equal rights and opportunities. It’s about respecting diverse women’s experiences, identities, knowledge, and strengths, and striving to empower all women to realize their full rights. It’s about leveling the playing field between genders, and ensuring that diverse women and girls have the same opportunities in life available to boys and men.”
Now, this is more like it; Equality of opportunities, the realization of full rights, leveling the playing field for all GENDERS. These are pretty much the humanistic thing to do.
So, I can safely say feminism is humanism, right? Now let us get to your idea of feminism and why it is a shit load of crap.
Just because you learned that women had been marginalized by men long since dead and buried some time ago in the past, you want to, employing artificial social engineering, bring out about equality of outcome. You go around spreading your ignorance because you have the platform. You pitch ideologies like because a man has it, it should be given to a woman irrespective of whether she merits it or not.
It’s about leveling the playing field (opportunities not outcome) between GENDER, and ensuring that diverse women and girls have the same opportunities in life available to boys and men.
Let us not talk about the clout-chasing that comes with it. You see, to you, feminism isn’t humanism; it is only about your voice being heard. That is why you feel the need to announce that you a feminist rather than exhibit the independence, the strength of character, and other traits that come with it.
You are in it for the clout; you want the accolades and respect that comes with category and feel, you want to appear brave, you want to earn it by raining insults on men older than you. Instead of highlighting your strength, you magnify the other’s weakness.
What is Feminism? If it isn’t humanism to you, it’s a shit load of crap to me
