Hon. Ekweli was one of the top students at Infant Jesus Nursery/Primary school in Awka throughout his formative years because he was capable, honest, clever, and diligent. To be the best, he continually improved these values. His father instilled in him the values of faith, confidence, and modesty.
In the Senior School Certificate Examination (WAEC) at Evangel College, Okokomaiko, Lagos state, he achieved distinctions. He eventually completed his academic studies at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, where he graduated with a B.Sc. Hons. in Geological Science and was among the first eleven in his class.
CAREER
He established Jigablaze Nig. LTD in 2010, and in no time became a captain in building materials supply. Leading with authenticity, integrity, and character. He also found Gamers Pub – to promote eSports in Africa and develop young people with e-Sporting skills which have created a business for many today. Other brands like Blacksmithers Football Club, Paccis Art, and ECHTAD AFRICA are associated with the Nobel gentleman.
Hon. Darlington Obiekezie Ekweli joined politics in 2015 and in 2018 contested and won the primary election for Anambra State House of Assembly Awka South Constituency 1 under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) but was later on illegally substituted.
He never gave up as he is contesting for Anambra state House of Assembly Awka South Constituency 1 under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the elections on March 11th, 2023.
The Awka businessman and politician have received recognition from both the Awka Development Union and the Anambra State Association of Town Union for his contribution towards developing the town and his charity to humanity.

He is a very sociable person and loves touring different countries, loves networking, playing tennis, playing & watching football, and enjoys video games. This music head possesses many talents that make his persona outstanding.

He is married to his beautiful wife Chinemerem and they live together happily since 2020.
